Cooler breeze
Tonight is the first night we are wearing an extra layer or a longer layer. Some are even in full sailing gear as the nights have started to cool down and the wind brings a bit of a chill. Which is very nice and welcome, as we have had warm, warmer, warmest days the last few weeks! The wind has been strong for the past 24 hours. Waves have build up and have become nice and long, ocean swell.
The forecast says that the winds should be decreasing, but so far no sign of that. We are under reefed mainsail, reefed mizzen, forestaysail and second jib, rushing along and heading straight for Honolulu!

We are all wondering what it will be like to see land, as Hawaii island is very high! Around 4200meters, so it should be visible a fairly long way off, weather permitting! During the day we have had some showers and a lot of sunshine. The picture of the day was won by Cecile, who has a good eye! Its of Sam climbing the rigging just before a shower with a rainbow in the back. Very striking!

Photo of the day by Cecile! All well on board, Jet.
