14 degrees air and water temp! Wouw that is a long time ago. Having left the ice far behind the memorie is still fresh in our minds. Still we check the RADAR for any lost piece that might have made it this far north, just a habit that dies slow I guess… We have had one low after the other. Nothing serious but plenty of work on the deck! Last night was the best Isolde mentioned. Milky Way and stars up to the horizon. Perfect for a fix with the sextant! It got damp during our shift, a sure singe of a change of weather. We had set the topsails and where boiling a long at 8kn. Then slowly the fog came in but the wind stayed. It was not untill 0400 Krista had to turn on the engine. Just for a little while though. By breakfast time we where under sail again and just before lunch we had tucked in two reefs. Now at the time of writing we have shaken out the reefs and are making the best of the last north westerly. Soon it will pass and southerlies will come through. Hopefully the transition wont be to painful…
All is well
