Topsails set!
Just a short update as we are getting back into our rhythm of the nightly logbook instead of daytime update! We have introduced the picture of the day once again and are looking forward to tomorrow when our first real round will start. For today the picture was one of a beautiful moment, when the topsails were set!
During the afternoon we still had some showers around, but during the evening the weather seemed very settled and so it was time for a little more pressure in the top as our speed went down to a very easy going 4 knots.. Just before dinner the topsails were spread out on the deck and the procedure was explained. Expecting it to be heavy and a bit of a hassle, we were happily surprised when they went up in one go and quickly send our speed up to 7 knots again!
The barometer is sky rocketing with 1026hp something we have not had in some time! I really love this sailing, easy going waves, force 2 or 3, topsails and big jib doing their best to get us there and we eat away at our miles in a very easy way! Picture of the day Rebecca!
