Bergy bit ahead

We have made our way out of Navy Board inlet into Lancaster Sound. Hardly any wind, so we have been under way by use of engine. Tomorrow the wind will turn against us, so we will make as many miles as we can, towards Beechey Island. We should arrive there tomorrow in the afternoon. (Gijs will be live at 16:00 UTC on Facebook ready for any questions!)

Dead ahead right now we have a bergy bit. Most of what we have seen out in Lancaster sound have been growlers and bergy bits. Sea ice has not really been spotted yet, as was predicted by the ice reports. More about the new ice reports tomorrow!
