A lot happened on this lazy sunny Sunday! Joel went up the mast to replace a light bulb on our green sailing light, we had a swim stop while checking the engine (all very well), we set the forestaysail as there seemed to be a little breeze and we made it to the Latitude of the most Southern tip of Europe! One could almost say it was a busy Sunday instead of a lazy one.

But besides everything happening, we also had a quiet afternoon with lots of book reading and sunbathing. It has been so hot on board once again, that somebody said it feels like we are back on the equator! Small difference is that the nights cool down dramatically and on the equator they did not really cool down very much.
The wind is very light, we are doing 5 knots under engine heading North, while the wind is South Westerly, so we are sailing away from the wind.. on deck we have about 3 knots wind left, and so the forestaysail has come down already as it was flogging too much. Since half an hour an annoying swell from the West South West has started rolling in, maybe the wind will follow! Our weather report says that is unlikely. No more then 8 knots of wind is predicted for the next 24 hours, after that, hopefully we will have around 10 to 14 knots. By that time will have topsails set and work hard to make our miles home. We have just under 2000 miles to go.

The sunsets have been spectacular the past few days. With the oily water and the moist in the air, colors are very vibrant.
The 20-00 watch had dolphins around the ship, over 30 dolphins they reckoned. But they have not been back during this watch yet.
All is well on board, Jet
