In the summer of 2016, the Tecla will visit Iceland. A new sailing area for the Tecla, with many places of interest to explore. Highlights of the voyages in Iceland will be visits to both Grimsey islands and the beautiful Flatey island. Hikes in Hornstrandir National park will show us the real Iceland countryside and visiting some of the largest bird colonies or spotting some of the rarest birds, like the Ptarmigans, will show us the specialties of her wild life! Iceland – how to get there and around. That is the question that follows.
In the water the whales rule and in the skies the northern light or the never ending night sun, rule.
The Tecla will set sail to Iceland from Scotland. This will be an amazing trip, following in the footsteps of the vikings. Visiting remote islands and Viking excavations along the way. Set foot on all the island groups in between Scotland and Iceland, visit the Hebrides, the Orkneys, the Shetlands and the Faroe islands!
But if you can not join us on this trip, then you might wonder how to get to Iceland and where or when to book your flight. On our website you will find more information on this through this link and through the menu choice below the booking form.
