46’44.8N 018’57.6W course 062′ speed 7,7kn
We had some time to make up for and so we did. Our first day of 180 miles was a fact yesterday. I was trying to think of movie names with speed in it, “Need for speed”, “Fast and Furious” and then my mind went blank.. there must be more..
Well any way, that is us!! We are still on a speed that would make today our second 180 mile day,.. but our weather forecast is saying decreasing winds, then turning. So today will be more of a sail handling day.

We have shaken out the reef of the mainsail. When the 8 o clock watch comes on and the weather is stable (right now there are still some showers around) we will change the jib and shake out the reef of the mizzen. And then hopefully tonight we can gybe and keep our speed going. We have all been thinking of the pocks that were underneath the ship, the ones we tried to scrape off during our swim stops. They must have been hanging on for dear life the past 24 hours! AND they must be cold, the water temperature is down to 19 degrees, so no more tropical warmth.. they cant like this.

This afternoon Stella and Myrthe made the best ever sticky toffee cake and a lemon cake! What a treat. We have almost gone through the last of our eggs. The last three frozen bags have been defrosted and will be used for French Toast at breakfast! A very good use!
Outside it is already becoming light. What a difference from a week ago. We have been making East and North a lot and so we are nearly ready to change our time on board to one hour closer to home time. Today we will also dip below 1000 miles to go on our courseline. Very exciting!!
All is well on board, Jet
