Today was the day Myrthe, Riva and Karen organized a little movie afternoon. Since it has been very warm, Myrthe has been trying to find a way to watch Frozen on the beamer, but ‘unfortunately’ we did not have a connection between phone and beamer… BUT Karen had brought a few usb drives that contained some movies and so it was decided that maybe we could choose from these movies a suitable one for an afternoons entertainment. Frozen was not among them, alas….
A list of 5 movies was made, a time was agreed upon and so the voting could start. In the end the most votes went to Driving miss Daisy. So this afternoon after lunch and dishes, popcorn was popped and seats were chosen!
I stayed outside steering and knitting, while the deck was completely empty and all were down below.

Other then that we have reeved the mainsail during the morning watch handover. The wind had gradually picked up and we were leaning over more then we were going forward. And thinking of reeving means that you have to reef. And so we did and we were just in time for the wind to really pick up and become a force 5 from the East South East. During the day the wind has been stable, now during the night it is a little less so. It is slowly decreasing, but then picks up again every now and then. The wind is not stable enough yet to shake the reefs out. So for now, we keep going as we are.

The game is coming to a grand finally. Two are still standing.. one of them had the word bagpipe, which lead to hilarious conversations on the table and the other one sniffing them out.. So now, we have two new words for the finalists – maybe tomorrow will be the day.
Also, our friendly Noddy is back, but having a hard time finding a perching place. During the day we did not see many birds, maybe one or two shearwaters, and a booby, but not very many.
All well on board, Jet
