Nuuk

2,228 nautical miles have passed under Tecla’s keel since we left Ilulissat—a remarkable feat! The Devon coast feels like a lifetime ago, one of the best-kept secrets, safely hidden away behind the mist. We were incredibly fortunate to visit all these far-flung places; it feels almost unreal.

As we navigated through the maze of islands and skerries yesterday, it was hard to imagine the reality of the civilized world waiting in Nuuk. It was a perfect day, basking in sunshine, with the northern lights still fresh in our minds. The previous night’s anchorage served us well, sheltering us from a gale blowing just a few miles offshore. We woke to calm seas but a fresh breeze, making the final leg as ideal as it could be. Snow-covered peaks framed the background as we navigated the sharp bends with ease—a day of hard work but deeply satisfying!

All that’s left is to thank our wonderful voyage crew for their adventurous spirits and wish them many happy returns!

All is well,

Gijs
