Ready for sailing again!

Almost ready to leave Santos again. Now underway with a few new adventurers, setting off with a nice South West Breeze! Hopefully the swell will permit us to go at anchor on Ilha Alcatrazes. The last few days the water has really been clearing and we could see the bottom at 5 meters depth! This promises amazing snorkelling on Alcatrazes, we don’t want to miss out on that!

The weather during our stay on Ilhabela has been amazing. We had a few days of rain in the beginning, but after that, sunshine all the way! Perfect for painting! During our sail to Santos, the weather changed drastically though! When the sun was setting lightning was showing on the horizon and it sped our way with amazing speed. We trimmed our mizzen but before we where done we had to lower it of the set a reef!! We went downwind to take shelter behind one of the islands and waited out the worst off it.

At midnight we set off again and arrived in Santos at 09:30 in the morning. Then off to get groceries and cleaning on board! Sam went to pick up our adventurers from the ferry and by the time everybody was on board, the work was done and we could relax a little.

This week is Carnaval week!!! On Alcatrazes we will not notice it.. or the birds have caught onto the festival as well.. but after that we set sail for Ilhabela. We really want to see this drumming band life!!Almost ready to leave Santos again. Now underway with a few new adventurers (www.anotherworldadventures.com) setting off with a nice South West Breeze!
