We were chatting this afternoon, about how hot we had been during this voyage. Not using after sun as it would make you melt even quicker! And one of us said, can you imagine that that’s only 2 weeks ago.. I said “two weeks, its even worse, its only a week ago!”. Funny how time can be so relative when you are on a voyage like this. Time is measured in meals, in watches, in books read and full moons seen. Time goes slowly, it crawls past and then all of a sudden two weeks are gone.. It is nearly a Month ago that we were on Saint Helena, it feels like days.. Its only days ago it was too hot to sit in the sun, but it feels like weeks. We have only been under engine for 24 hours and it feels exactly like that!

We had some wind during the day, but nothing much, at least not enough to sail with. It did give a nice lift in the sails that are still up! There were so many Portuguese man of war (highly stinging jellyfish that cause extreme pains) around that we did not dare stop for a swim, nor did we think the wind would decrease enough. Maybe today..!
We have seen two vessels by now, one passing with 17 knots! It strange to see other ships around after such a long time of not seeing any. Other then that we have not done or seen much new this past day. The atmosphere is still very good, sleeping is easier with the cooler nights and although we shortly had a problem with our watermaker, its now up and running again. I scared everybody with a shower stop, but I lifted it again to some peoples relief!

Other then that, there really is little to report. The 20:00h to 00:00 again said they had never seen such a beautiful sunset, they hung around on the mizzen boom for a little bit as well. The moon is back, lighting up the aft during the dark nights and the stars are brightest in the last watch hour when the moon has set! More and more familiar star constellations are showing up. Right now we are heading straight for Cassiopeia!

All is well on board.  Jet
